Participation fees

All the fees for participating in ESF 2008.

To be able to realise such a big event as the ESF, it needs to be self-financed to a large extent. The participation fees, program activity fees and stall fees all goes directly to help finance the forum, and to the solidarity fund to help people participate who do not have the financial means to travel to Malmö themselves.

Everyone who wants to take part in the ESF needs to register individually, and all organisations that want to propose workshops, seminars etc need to register their organisation and pay the organisation registration fee. Register in the participate portlet in the right hand menu.

The individual registration will be online by the 31st of May, and then it will also be possible to pay directly using a credit card.

Please note that all fees are excluding bank transfer charges.

Participation fee for individuals

40 euro	Regular fee
20 euro	Youth under 22 years, unemployed or retired. Regular fee for CEE-countries*
10 euro	Youth under 22, unemployed or retired from CEE-countries. Fee for those who offer solidarity housing for ESF 2008 participants.
No fee	Volunteers

*CEE-countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

Participation fee for organisations

According to financial capability and size, the registration fee for organisations is 50 euro or 250 euro.

Please note that all organisations who want to propose program activities need to register as participating organisations to the ESF 2008. Partner organisations to program activities need to register if they want to be visible in the printed program or on the website.

Program activity fee

(seminars, workshops, assemblies etc)

The program activity fee is payed per activity commonly by the organisations organising the activity, after the merging process has been finalized.

Fees for book stalls

(table and chair are included in the fee)

The information/book stalls are mainly a possibility for organisations to publicise themselves and their work.

Commercial stalls are for organisations/ book publishers/ fair trade shops etc whose main aim is to sell things during the forum and who will make a profit.
