Information
The accomodation possibilities in Malmö are limited. Therefore is NOC working to find alternative forms for accomodation, such as solidarity accomodation, mass accomodation and hotels and hostels in nearby cities. The travel time between Malmö and the nearby cities varies, but is never longer than 50 minutes with bus or train, with daily services every ten minutes. We have also accomodation in the following cities: Copenhagen, Lund and Helsingborg. For travel in Malmö and surrounding see: Skånetrafiken
Now there also is an oportunity for solidarity accomodation in Christiania, as well as mass accomodation in tents on Fredens Äng and in Christiania. If you are interested in this please contact esfchristiania@esf2008.org. There are cheap bus service with for example Swebus.
Solidarity accomodation
Solidarity accomodation is accomodation in homes of Malmö citizens who kindly provides beds for ESF participants. This form of accomodation is first given to interpreters, volounteers and recievers of support from the ESF solidarity fund.
Please note that it is cheaper to participate on the ESF if you help us with solidarity accomodation. If you can offer a bed or a floor for ESF participants please register here! (Information on how to get solidarity accomodation will be found here soon.)
Hotels
Through cooperation with Malmö tourism we have prebooked a large number of hotelrooms for ESF participants. These rooms can be booked using a special system following the link below. You can book rooms from September 16-21. If you need to book for a longer period you have to contact the hotel. You can book maximum 14 rooms in each booking. Please use this system - it will be much easier for us to estimate needs for accomodation. And it is also cheaper - we have a group discount!

Hostels
We have prereserved beds at hostels in Malmö, Copenhagen and Lund for ESF participants. In this way we have been able to provide beds and rooms for both groups and individual participants. Now the reserved beds are running up, so we kindly advice all to the hostels in Copenhagen. You find them on Danhostels.
Camping
For camping with your own tent (not military tents) and cars please contact: Malmö Camping och Feriecenter.
Mass accomodation
Mass accomodation will be available in sport arenas, schools as well
as in large tents on Sibbarps Camping (please remember to bring a warm
sleeping bag). Please note that it will not be possible to chose a
particular mass accomodation.
As announced earlier, the registration
for mass accommodation was closed on Wednesday the 10th of
September. All participants who have registered that they need mass
accommodation before that date will get a place to sleep. An e-mail
with more information will be sent out on Monday the 15th
at the latest.
NB: If you didn't register for mass
accomodation, you won't have a place. Don't come here without having
arranged your accomodation, as we can't guarantee to help you with last
minute places.
If you need accommodation and haven't
registered, we advise you to bring your own tent. Then you need to
take contact directly with Malmö Feriecenter (Sibbarps camping).
Mass accomodation in sports arenas and schoold will open on September 17 at 5 pm and close on September 21 at 4 pm. The accomodations will also be closed on Thursday 10 am - 6 pm, Friday 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday 10 am - 6 pm. Mass accomodation for the weekend till open on September 19 at 5 pm and close on September 21 on 4 pm. They will be closed on Saturday 10 am - 6 pm. Mass accomodation on Sibbarps Camping will open on September 21 at 4 pm and close on Monday September 22 at 10 am. This accomodation will be open during the whole days.
Please remember to bring all your valuables. The NOC will not take responsibility for valuables in the mass accomodations.
