CSA stands for Civil Society in Action. It is a non-profit organization. The activity of the organization is Peace, Human rights, community development, capacity building, making awareness against the dangerous diseases. CSA was first founded on 2003 by a group of Somali intellectuals after realizing the need of elite back-up in the development stages in out-spoken voice representing the community words, with the aim of promoting the civil societies and developing the community grass-root who entirely need the promotionDespite the destruction and the absence of effective central government since 1991, Somalia at present is practicing a regeneration of an effective civil society re- formation and urging private initiatives, reflecting the increasing of the escalating wishes of Somali people throughout the country to avoid conflicts and to participate the peace process, good governance, and reconstruction of the devastated basic needs. The Civil Society in Action (CSA) is the channel and guide of Somali Social Organizations that has common goals and objectives. CSA is a group of networks, umbrellas, and organizations that have a central objective and mainly there are as follows:- 1. Community Based Organizations (CPO) 2. Peace and Human Rights Organizations 3. Educational Institutions such as FPENS, SAFE, Mogadishu University (MU) 4. Professional Organizations such as Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers 5. Youth Organizations and students Unions 6. Religious Groups 7. Business Organizations 8. Women Development Organizations
