Towards a nuclear-weapons free Europe and a nuclear-weapons free world

Influence political leaders to move towards a nuclear weapons free Europe and to abolish all nuclear weapons worldwide. The World Court Projec (WCP) prepares a return to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The Nuclear Weapon Convention(NWC)could be a way-out of the current deadlock. NGOs and representatives are involved for promoting this process of elimination. France is one of the nuclear States in Europe, but probably the most difficult to convince for a nuclear free world. The current programme of modernization of the French nuclear arsenal will be presented and also the current nuclear strategy, with the "possible first nuclear strike against non-nuclear State". Contribution of France to proliferation is also a concern with the promotion of nuclear energy. A recent study of the French public opinion gives interesting results for deciding campaigns as ICAN (www.icanw.org)or Mayors for Peace (www.mayorsforpeace.org).
