The Swedish FRA Act. Democracy or security?
Sweden has recently enacted a general wiretapping law, "general" meaning "everybody is always wiretapped". This law is known as "the FRA Act" or "Lex Orwell". The seminar discusses the tradeoff between security and democracy, and why the citizens' right to privacy is an absolute requirement for democracy as a concept.
